Mirrimin Street

Mirman Street looked like a difficult block on paper. Tightly constrained, with a backyard that wasn’t delivering much for the family living there. What it needed wasn’t compromise — it needed the right builder to see what it could become.

Significant excavation and retaining works came first, unlocking usable space where there wasn’t any and creating the foundation for everything that followed. A rear extension added two new bedrooms, increasing the footprint and functionality of the home in a way that feels completely natural — as though it was always meant to be that size.

The outdoor space is where the project really announces itself. A resort-style entertaining area, expansive lawn and a stunning swimming pool sit at the heart of the design, with the home wrapping around them to create a connection between inside and out that you feel from almost every room. The pool becomes a focal point from multiple vantage points throughout the house — delivering a relaxed, holiday-like atmosphere that doesn’t require leaving the backyard to find.
